This lot consists of a self portrait of Baum, dated circa 1930-1932, as noted on the verso. The sitter is depicted at a three quarter view as he looks to the viewer. He is portrayed with a serious look on his face, however his eyes note that he is a kind hearted soul. The figure wears a white button down collared shirt with a green and white polka-dotted tie. In the sitters left hand, he holds an artist pallet that is full of paints. Instead of signing the painting in the lower right, as most artists do, this artist's signature is found on the upper right corner of the canvas. On the verso of the piece, along with the artists name and the approximation of date, it notes owned the painting. Overall the painting is in good condition, with normal wear. The painting is framed in an ornately carved wooden frame that has damage present.
Condition: (Very Good - Excellent).
