HEDDON 1300 MUSKY SUCKER IN CORRECT BOX

This is the earliest iteration of this bait dating to 1913. In “Sucker” finish, the paint is still in remarkably nice condition with only the typical varnish spidering and a few flakes. Heavy duty hardware, including screw eye hangers, which predate the L-Rig ones Heddon used starting in about 1914-15. Perfect glass eyes, marked front prop, and 4 belly weights. Oversize, white border, Downleaping Bass box is correctly marked 1300 on one end panel. The box is clean and solid, with no splits, cracks or tears. There is some minor staining and the box grades at least Very Good Plus or better, and the lure carries an identical grade.
