Sublime Harmonie Piccolo by Alfred Junod, Interchangeable cylinder music box known as his “Orphea” style in size “No. 14,” serial #9148, made in Ste. Croix, Switzerland and dating from about 1880-1890. CONDITION: Overall, in excellent original, working & sounding condition, with 3 cylinders playing 6-tunes apiece, extra cylinders stored inside the drawer in lower section of the cabinet. Junod’s patented “Orphea” design was the only maker to “hide” the large mainspring and majority of the governor assembly below the iron bedplate, leaving the playing cylinder, comb(s), zither, stop/start and change/repeat controls visible from above. Case lid does show slight age warpage
