Dazzling, early 1900s coin silver filigreed overlaid and inlaid Southern California ring bit with the Tapia characteristic stylized cheeks and slobber bar adorned with raised domed, multi-petal floral spots. The period split-ear California leather headstall has been carefully preserved and reinforced underneath with newer leather and adjusts via 3-piece period buckle sets while adorned with similar 16-point silver ornaments plus larger domed conchos just above the bridle rings. The headstall itself is attached to a later-made set of braided closed leather reins with romal and popper.
