Circa late 1800s 29” bronze breech loading signal cannon maker marked “MADE BY R. H. BROWN / NEW HAVEN CT. U.S.A / PAT. JULY 3-88” near breech. Chambered for 1 - 1/2" shells. Breech and firing mechanism not present. Mounted on a solid wood and iron sled type carriage painted black. CONDITION: Fair. Barrel exhibits a pleasing dark patina with some light pitting and verdigris. Carriage retains the vast majority of its reapplied paint finish. Dark bore with abrasions. BAS
