Lot consists of: (A) Two leather hunting bags, one with an associated powder horn. Both show some crazing to surface but appear to be complete; probably mid-19th century. One pouch complete with hunting knife and original scabbard. (B) Cased grouping of seven excavated buttons from War of 1812 site Sackette's Harbor. (C) Another cased grouping of 12 colonial and military buttons found in the 1960's, excavated at Sackette's Harbor. (D) Iron items including a Middle Eastern iron powder measure, a hand forged iron flint striker, an iron Revolutionary War tent stake, and an 18th century belt buckle. CONDITION: All have dark, heavy patina. (E) A flintlock mechanism with unmarked face, probably from a French Model 1777 flintlock musket or a US Model 1816 flintlock musket. CONDITION: Dark patina overall, but original flint and functional.
