Lot consists of (A) 1790 letter to "Colle Isaac Melcher a Philadelphia" dated 1790 and signed by James Clinton. The letter discusses possible business of selling a couple tracts of land in New York if the offer is enough. CONDITION: Some minor losses to edges, foxing and minor staining. (B) Military Commission dated February 8th, 1776. Stamped at bottom "Original New Jersey Revolutionary War Military Commission, appointing an Ensign in Joseph Bloomfield's Company, New Jersey Militia battalion, issued February 8, 1776". CONDITION: Fold lines show some tears and separation, writing is faded, some staining and losses to edges. DMG
