Made as a set, probably for a complete set made during the Victorian era. Sabaton of 9 lames affixed by brass studs. Greaves are hinged on inside of leg and fixed by studs. Decorated with bands on geometrics and florals and a blackened ground. Sculpted to more comfortably fit the ankles and calves of the end user. CONDITION: Very good, cleaned in the European style over scattered oxidation, heavier on left greave than right. Sabatons articulate nicely. Decorations are very good. Blackened ground starting to turn more to grey. An attractive pair.
