Lot consists of: (A) Dress blue USMC P1912 Bell Crown hat with period correct P1914 bronze EGA device to front. The cover is very clean, exhibiting only one small moth nip on the top. The leather brim and chin strap exhibit cracking and scratches. The brown faux sweatband is stitched to the body of the hat and remains unsoiled. There is some separation towards the brim. The bamboo stiffener remains unblemished and sturdy. The hat retains its original size tag and is marked as a size 7 - 1/2". CONDITION: Overall excellent. (B) Khaki USMC P1912 Bell Crown hat with period correct EGA. The cover is very clean, exhibiting only a few slight stains and blemishes. The leather brim is stiff and the chinstrap has broken on the left side. The brown faux sweatband is missing but the basket weaved stiffener remains sturdy. CONDITION: Overall good. (C) USMC P1923 visor hat with period correct EGA. The cover is very clean, exhibiting only a few small moth nips and stains. The leather brim and sweatband remain pliable and only exhibit a few scuffs. The leather sweatband is excellent with no separation or soiling. The sweatband is marked on the reverse "Philadelphia Uniform Co. / Successors to / Jos. N. Susskind & Co. Inc. / Contract No. 248 - Jan 15, 1923". The hat remains sturdy and retains its original shape. CONDITION: Overall excellent. JLD
