(A) From his final studio sitting, a large hand-accented oval framed litho photo of Lt. Col. Custer taken in New York City in April 1876, two months before he was killed at the Battle of the Little Bighorn. Custer took nearly 150 images in his career, but this view is recognized as how he looked during the battle.
(B) September 25th, 1894 bench arrest warrant issued by the Justice of the Peace of El Paso County directing a sheriff or constable to bring in Charley Walters wanted for assault and battery. Warrant was executed and signed by John Selman. Known as both an outlaw and lawman, Selman killed the infamous gunfighter John Wesley Hardin in the Acme Saloon, El Paso, Texas on August 19, 1895.
(C) 1875 dated letter of introduction written by famous Civil War and Indian War General, Phil Sheridan, to a Gen. J.E. Smith at Camp Douglas on letterhead of the Union Depot Hotel in Ogden, Utah. Originally established during the American Civil War to protect the mail routes from hostile Native Americans, and as a show of strength to the Mormon people who some thought to be disloyal to the Union cause.
