Lot consists of: (A) Dated 1943, is a graphic illustrated image of a dead sailor washed up on shore. Simply stated " A careless word... A needless loss." CONDITION: Usual mailing folds, touch of corner wear and a few minor border scuffs in black background. (B) Features a soldier with his 1903 Springfield captioned "We have just begun to fight!" Done in black and white charcoal image with red header, dated 1943. List of battles to right, beginning with the island of Pearl Harbor, the islands of Bataan, Coral Sea, Midway, Guadalcanal, and New Guinea. Then moving to the battles of Africa to include Tanisia and Algiers, along with Casablanca and the Bismark Sea. CONDITION: Usual folds, off white manila background. (C) The most graphic of the lot features a hardened veteran staring down at a drawing of the island of Japan, simply titled "Next" in blood red and a vignette of a United States bomb landing on the Japanese flag. It is dated 1944. CONDITION: Usual mailing folds, excellent to near mint condition. With brilliant color. All three are framed, but (A) has no glass. All three measure 22 - 1/2" by 28 - 1/2".
