Patent leather chin strap secured by silver crossed baton and sword buttons. Interior silk lined with leather sweatband gold embossed "Sir Francis de Guingand". CONDITION: Excellent condition exhibiting minor wear. (B) Khaki twill construction having red wool band and bullion insignia. Visor decorated with bullion oak leaves indicating General Officer rank. Patent leather chin strap secured by gilt crossed baton and sword buttons. Interior silk lined with crown bearing gold stamped maker label "Herbert Johnson 38 Bond St London W", cloth sweatband. CONDITION: Wool body shows a few small holes, interior crown lining exhibits staining. (C) Black wool construction having red wool band and bullion insignia. Visor decorated with bullion oak leaves indicating General Officer rank. Patent leather chin strap secured by silvered ERII buttons. Interior wool felt lined with leather sweatband bearing gold stamped maker label "Bates Hatter 21 Jermyn Street St James's. London". CONDITION: Excellent condition showing no wear. (D) Black wool construction having red wool band and bullion insignia of lion standing on crown. Visor decorated with bullion oak leaves indicating General Officer rank. Patent leather chin strap secured by gilt regimental buttons. Included in the lot is a small group of bullion British generals' shoulder strap insignia. CONDITION: Exterior is in excellent condition, interior crown lining is heavily stained, leather sweatband partially detached. From the Ray Bentley Collection.
