Lot consists of: (A) World War I eagle snap grenade belt. (B) World War I web pistol belt and M1911 holster marked "U.S. GRATON & KNIGHT CO." (C) Late 1940's tan Army officers summer uniform and trousers. (D) 1973 date G-1 US Navy pilot's patched leather jacket named to RADM Martin Doan Carmody, callsign "RED". He led a long and distinguished career and was laid to rest with full honors at Arlington National Cemetery. He served from World War II past Vietnam and was highly decorated. In addition to the Distinguished Service Medal, the Legion of Merit with two Gold Stars, the Distinguished Flying Cross with two Gold Stars, the Bronze Star Medal with Combat "V," the Air Medal with eight Gold Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon, Rear Admiral Carmody has the American Defense Service Medal; American Campaign Medal; Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with two silver stars (ten operations); World War II Victory Medal; China Service Medal; United Nations Service Medal; the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Vietnam); and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon. He also has the Korean Presidential Unit Citation Badge and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device. Deserves further research. (E) US Navy 1950's uniform coat with World War II German ribbon bar that someone added later. (F) World War I period officer's tunic with bronze Massachusetts State Guard device and "20" on the collar. (G) Unmarked leather military rifle sling. BM
