This lot consists of a large portrait of President Roosevelt. He is depicted with his body at a three quarter profile and his face just slightly off center. The President dons a brown colored jacket with matching vest and a white collared shirt and black tie. The look that he gives the viewer appears to be truly genuine and full of hope, as seen in the glint in his eyes and slight smile he shows. If one looks closely enough, the artist’s brushstrokes become visible to the naked eye. Minor crazing is also apparent. The painting is framed in a light brown wooden frame that has red undertones and is carved. Normal wear is present and the painting was not examined out of the frame. CORRECTION: This is President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
