Lot includes Egyptian FN49 in 8mm Mauser, a Venezuelan in 7mm Mauser, a Egyptian "Saladin" FN49 in 8mm Mauser, and a FN49 in 8mm Mauser. (A) FN49 manufactured by Fabrique Nationale in Belgium for an Egyptian contract. In near mint un-issued condition with over 97% of the original black finish. Has Egyptian royal crest on top of receiver. Stock is in excellent condition with some minor dings and light marks, and has a brass butt plate and stock disc on the right side. Receiver, receiver cover, and stock have matching numbers in Eastern Arabic. Rear sight has adjustments in Arabic numerals. Bore is in near mint condition. (B) FN49 manufactured by Fabrique Nationale in Belgium for a Venezuelan contract. Has Venezuelan crest on top of receiver. In near mint condition with 95% of the original finish. Bore is in near mint condition. Muzzle break exhibits about 5% wear. Stock is near mint, with minor scattered marks, with black finished butt plate with trapdoor. Belgian sniper scope mount is attached to left side of receiver. It is unknown of this mount is original Belgian issue, or an after-market copy. Matching numbers present on receiver and receiver cover. (C) FN49 manufactured by Fabrique Nationale in Belgium for an Egyptian contract, with "Saladin" eagle on upper receiver. Rifle is import marked for Century Arms in Vermont, and it is believed to have been built by them with Egyptian contract receiver and Belgian parts. Also marked "7.92mm". Rifle is near mint, with over 97% of the original black finish. Stock is also near mint, with a few scatted marks, with a plastic butt plate. Rifle has serial number only on receiver, and rear sight markings are in Arabic. Bore is near mint. (D) FN49 manufactured by Fabrique Nationale in Belgium in near mint condition with over 95% of the original black finish remaining. It appears that a crest was ground off the receiver top before the rifle was finished. Receiver has both Eastern and Western Arabic numerals, and receiver cover has matching number in Western Arabic. Rear sight is marked in Eastern Arabic numerals. Bore is near mint. Rifle has what appears to be a German HK91 muzzle break. These four uncommon rifles are all near mint, and represent a variety of FN contract rifles.
