A superb example of a very rare Loetz Phanomen Gre decor from the height of their artistic production, circa 1902. The metallic red background color stands to draw the eye in as it follows the pulled feather pattern consisting of oil spots upwards along the flowing Art Nouveau form. Signed, "Loetz Austria" in the polished pontil and having fire-polished rim. The same form can be seen on page 1267 of the Neue Gallerie book.
