France, ca. 1900, poured bisque unmarked Jumeau head incised 1, brown glass eyes, finely painted brows and lashes, closed mouth, pierced ears, replaced brown long curl wig, cork pate, bisque lower arms holding a curling iron and mirror. Wearing original silk and lace dress, standing on a velvet covered base in front of a tripod stand with a faux oil lamp, base contains a musical clockwork mechanism. When operated doll lowers curling iron to warm in the lamp, then raises the mirror and iron simultaneously as she places the iron on her hair at her forehead and slightly rotates her wrist, then repeats.
