Germany, ca. 1850, finely molded papier mache shoulder head, short molded wispy hair with brush strokes, ears exposed, molded painted features with blue eyes and his original cloth body with wooden arms. Wearing original man's wool three-piece suit with silk brocade vest, white muslin blouse and pocket watch with a wonderful beaver skin top hat. Provenance included with doll states the doll belonged to the family of Isreal Matson, a Revolutionary War soldier.

Condition: 23" H.
