Wearing an all original silk costume with metal brocaded trim and matching cape and hat with feathers. The figure is seated on a velvet covered metal base with turned wood feet containing the musical brass mechanism. When operated the figure turns head left and right, and moves the bow across the violin at various rates, the music is accompanied by a faintly heard mechanism which reproduces a "violin" like sound.
