The mug ca. 1860 with straight sides chased with country scenes around an engraved reserve; the shaving mug with low bulbous sides and a removable strainer, Frank Smith, retailed by Newsalt, Dayton; together with a nut dish with pierced sides with grapevines, Whiting; and an oval swing handled bon-bon dish with pierced sides, Wilcox & Wagoner. (4) Splits to rim of mug; dents to all.Height of mug to rim: 3-5/8 in; total weight: 15 oz.***Two splits to mug rim; foot is pressed into base; dents; unevenness to body, rim, and foot; with Bailey & Co.'s sterling and retailer's marks; dents and unevenness to shaving mug; wear to gilt interior; light scratching and signs of use to all.
