Colt production Model 1911 .45 pistol very good-fine condition with blued finish and walnut grips. Cased with two extra magazines. Identified with case plague in silver to LTC Sherbrook, No. 1 Battalion Machine Gun Corps for his distinguished conduct in the Battle of Ypres. This is an exceptional identified World War I piece which comes with authentication letter on officer’s service in WWI from National Army Museum and photo of 3 officers, one of which may be Sherbrook.
