Germany, ca. 1890, violinist figure includes Sonneberg type bisque flange head with blue glass eyes, finely painted brows and lashes, open closed mouth, blonde curly wig, and original costume with metal trim. Body contains musical mechanism, which is activated when torso is squeezed. When operated figure moves right arm and bow across the violin.
