France, late 19th century, Mother has wax over paper mache head with blue glass eyes, open mouth with teeth, black hair, composition hands and feet. Mother is seated, holding a small child with parian type shoulder head with molded blonde hair, and wearing a christening gown. On a velvet covered base containing musical clockwork mechanism. When operated, the Mothers head turns right, left, up and down, and arm rocks the child.
Condition: 12" H.
