France, ca. 1895, a large mechanical toy with two bisque head figures. The mechanical walking boy has a bisque socket head incised Paris, blue glass eyes, finely painted brows and lashes, closed mouth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig and bisque hands. Wearing the original tweed suit and felt hat, the torso contains the clockwork mechanism attached to the articulated legs. He is pulling a finely made wood cart with tin wheels. Seated in the cart is a unmarked Jumeau girl with bisque socket head incised 2, blue glass eyes, finely painted brows and lashes, pierced ears, open mouth, brown mohair wig, seated composition body and bisque hands.
