France, ca. 1890, pressed bisque flange head, blue paperweight glass eyes, finely painted brows and lashes, closed mouth, pierced ears, gray wool wig, jointed arms and legs with bisque hands. Punch style torso contains clockwork mechanism. Wearing satin two tone costume with metallic trim and velvet shoes, holding later German bisque head child with five-piece composition body and dressed as a cook. Polichinelle figure is suspended from a modern base, when operated figure moves arms and legs.
