France, ca. 1880, a Francois Guiltier pale pressed bisque flange head and shoulder plate, head incised 4, blue glass eyes, finely painted brows and lashes, closed mouth, pierced ears and curly blonde mohair wig with cork pate on a stationary standing body with articulated arms and bisque forearms. Wearing original silk and lace dress. Standing on a velvet platform the musical clockwork mechanism is concealed in the torso. When operated she moves her head left, right, forward and back, as well as strumming her painted wood four string guitar.
