France, ca. 1875, unmarked French bisque shoulder head, blue painted eyes, closed mouth, molded black hair with fine brush stroked bangs, fully articulated figure of a boy with metal hands. Wearing original satin boys suite with leather boots. Riding a finely decorated clockwork tricycle with cast metal spoke wheels. Clockwork mechanism is incised "B.B. Depose". When wound he pedals his tricycle and steers left and right.
