France, ca. 1870, bisque socket head and shoulder plate, blue glass eyes, painted brows and lashes, closed mouth, brown human hair wig, stationary body, mechanical arms with soft metal hands holding a badminton racket and shuttle cock. Wearing an all original silk walking suit with elaborate front panel and straw hat. Atop a three wheeled faux grass painted tin platform with a working brass clockwork mechanism. When activated figure rolls across floor moving her racket and shuttle cock.
