Created by the Marlene Xenis studio, makers of fine wood dolls in a limited edition; Geppetto is 24” tall with head, hands and shoes carved from western maple and body from basswood with 13 movable joints, original clothing, with music box and certificate #101 of 350; Pinocchio is 16” tall, also wood carved and fully jointed, wearing suede shorts, linen shirt, and wool vest and hat, with music box, signed on foot #118 of 350; Cricket is 9” tall with 13 movable joints and wearing his tuxedo top, spats, cuffs, signed on foot #8 of 500. This lot also contains the cricket's original wood box, hat, cane and certificate, as well as Gepetto's cardboard box. Lovely workmanship!
