Shoulder heads with inset dark glass eyes (some wear and soil on faces), real hair wigs over black painted hair, the lady’s is quite elaborate; original bodies with kid arms, torsos and legs seem to be a hard treated cloth or maché; totally original silk clothing (some deterioration and soil) with gold braid, nailed on shoes and stockings. Marquis and Marquise or Shepherd and Shepherdess. Truly a fantastic early pair!
