Model 1842 "U.S." percussion pistol by "H. Aston (address and date obscured by heavy pitting). Iron surfaces show old cleaning, now toning down to gray surfaces, with barrel marks intact. Also, walnut stock has old finish with oval inspector cartouche on left barrel flat. Brass hardware now toning down.
