Archaic 7500 - 4000 B.P. Ft. Payne chert. Very well made example from a Northern Ohio collection. The Ft. Payne chert has beautifully patinated to a light gray, with wispy white cloud patch throughout. The bevel slowly blends into the entire length of the knife creating a wonderful balance,symmetry and “feel”. One slight ding on one side of tip.
