Historic Period. 500 - 400 B.P. Greenstone, that has aged to Gray. This time period is not normally included in the prehistoric offerings, but the outstanding craftsmanship exhibited in this work of art transcends time boundaries. Featuring Incredible facial detail that includes cheek bone and eyebrow ridge. The eyes appear to be inset with lead or pewter which would have probably been inset again with glass eyes. A delicate raised ridge has been crafted to run along the top of the pipe stem. The pipe has been broken along the stem and glued back together, but the material is so fine grained that the break is almost invisible. A true Museum Grade artifact.
