800 - 600 B.P. When viewing this bottle by looking down, the elusive "star" pattern is revealed. So deeply engraved that it almost appears to be embossed. One of the most attractive incised patterns to be found on a Caddo bottle. The bottle itself is unusual in that the top and bottom portions co-join at an edged angle that suggests the bottle is a compound of two different vessels. Almost certainly a vessel with a ceremonial purpose. Minor pressure crack.
Item Dimensions: H. 7 - 1/2" x Dia. 6 - 1/2".
