France, ca. 1920, Emile Lang was associated with SFBJ, oil painted face and hair, inset glass eyes, open mouth with painted teeth, leather boots, wooden rifle, ceramic canteen with real cork, cloth bag, this exact doll is photographed on page 164 of Polly Judd's Cloth Book (text on page 113), marks: "E.L. // Manufacture Francois/ Jouettes Tissus // Sse Breveta//", "Belge" handwritten on back of tag, his hat is removable and made of papier mache.
Condition: 14" H.
