America, ca. 1885. A nicely proportioned four-room Mystery House (as described by the late Flora Gill Jacobs) with classic exterior decoration consisting of rusticated corner and base moldings, distinctive carved window cornices, peaked roof with simulated slates, and an attic accessed via two flat dormer windows (some trim missing). All surfaces in and out retain original paint finishes. The interior is noteworthy because it retains all of its original ceiling papers, wallpapers, borders, painted baseboards, recessed panel doors and the house boasts floors featuring typical painted faux parquet finish.
