The first napkin ring is of a very large cat with glass eyes balancing the napkin holder on its back. Marked 'Meriden B. Company No. 235'. The second is a ring-less napkin holder. The napkin is to slip between the cat and the music stand. The sheet music carries the title 'Over the Garden Wall', a song from the 1880s stage production 'Ring Up the Curtain'. The oval, ball-footed base is marked 'James W. Tufts No. 1609'.
