London 1812, J. Emes, in mid 18thC style with an oblong body with a gadrooned rim on three cast feet and with a flying scroll handle, one side crested; together with an English silver butter boat, London 1774, of similar shape with a punch- beaded rim, one side engraved with period initials. Both with partially worn marks. Length of first: 8 in; length of second: 5-1/8 in. Weight: 18 ozt.
