Serial No. SA30944. Arvo Ojala was the undisputed King of the TV cowboy outfitters. Just about every major television and film star relied on this Los Angles master. And as he did for numerous stars before , he took a standard Colt factory nickel single action army in 44 special with a 4-3/4” barrel and customized it for Sammy Davis. Manufactured in 1980, this set comes with a certified letter from Arvo dated 8-19-81 stating “I customized this gun for fast draw and also made a black, customized gun rig with sterling silver buckles and his name “Sammy” carved inside. He used this outfit for personal and stage appearances … and later gave me this rig. Arvo Ojala". Gun retains almost all of the original factory nickel, a shaved down front sight, lightened trigger pull, lightened four click hammer (action) and imitation pearl grips. Great rig with rock solid provenance. A piece of Las Vegas history and the famous rat pack era.
