Serial No. 31795. Standard London model 1851 with 7-1/2" octagon barrel, six shot, .36 caliber. Fine action and bore with light frosting. British proofs on barrel and cylinder. All matching numbers including wedge. Fine original condition. Barrel basically brown patina with some traces of high polish blue. Liberal amount of original case colors on lever and frame. Cylinder basically brown patina with partial cylinder scene. Generous amounts of silver plate on trigger guard. Beautiful walnut varnished grips. Overall, an above average early London Navy. Manufactured in 1855.
