Serial No. 31296. Manufactured in 1881. Fine factory sheriffs model, completely readable and sharp. 3-1/2" barrel, six shot, .41 long colt. Barrel and frame retain about 90% of the original nickel finish, cylinder retains about 85% original nickel finish. Action works fine. Bore is near mint. Excellent original grips. Most of the fire blue on the back of the hammer. Gun was issued to the American Express Company and is so engraved on backstrap. In addition, right side of frame is stamped "SF (San Francisco) 917". Fine condition agent gun with much condition.CORRECTION: The back of the grip strap says Am. Exp. Co.
