Serial No. 5484. Made from 1857-1860. First metallic cartridge firearm. The tip-up revolver features a seven shot non-fluted cylinder with and octagon 3-3/16" barrel and rosewood grips. Chambered for the .22 short rimfire. None of the silver plating remains on the brass frame, and the side plate has been polished and no longer fits tightly. The barrel and cylinder basically patina. Cylinder indexes. Very good bore. Excellent grips. This is considered a fifth type.
