Wonderful example of a scarce Birmingham English fully cased Unwin & Rogers double action percussion revolver. It sports a 3 ¾” octagon barrel and there is no hammer spur so is double action only. Bore gauges out at .34. Gun indexes properly and locks up like new. Super strong rifling with a hint of pitting in the grooves. Overall, the gun retains about 50% of the English high polish blue finish for which they are famous. The checkered walnut grips are near perfect. Within the original case, accessories include a capper, cap tin, Small copper bag flask marked Sykes, a turnkey, small brass tipped wooden cleaning rod, an ivory handled nipple cleaner and the case key. A wonderful mid nineteenth century cased English set and rarely seen manufacturer.
