18th Century. By Guy & Houzel (bears red stenciled mark "Gh ru Thiroux a Paris). Comprising 29 pieces painted en grisaille with pastoral and river landscapes and gilt borders to include 12 cups and saucers, waste bowl, lidded sugar bowl, cream pitcher, and teapot with cover. Provenance: Christie's, London, 1996, Sale 7279, lot 395. Overall minor wear to gilt. Some cups with small chips and one cracked. Teapot: 6" H.
