Serial No. 37084. Manufactured in 1871. Standard carbine featuring a 20" round barrel, full magazine, carbine style buttplate. The side panels on both sides are engraved and look to be replacements and are a different shade of brass than the rest of the receiver. The butt stock is ill-fitting and is shy to the metal, both top and bottom. A sling swivel plate has been removed from the bottom of the butt stock. The barrel and tube are a dark brown patina. Bore is strong but dirty. Fully operational. CORRECTION: The bottom of frame has period 101 stamp, presumably to indicate usage by the 101 Ranch.
