Serial No. 25316. Manufactured 1850s to 1860s. Features include 7-1/2" octagon barrel, single action, .36 caliber, six shot. Gun has been cleaned and is currently in the white, no cylinder scene, barrel stamp is legible. Walnut grips are excellent with silver plaque on right side. Indexes perfectly. Strong bore with some frosting. The serial number puts this as a fifth second model, but this revolver retains the small trigger guard, so it would be considered a transition.
WHITNEY NAVY PERCUSSION REVOLVER.
