Serial No. 590. 4,333 target models were built on the Smith & Wesson single action top break No. 3 revolver frame. A favorite of target shooters at the turn of the century such as Ira Paine. Features include a 6-1/2" barrel, target sights, single action, nickel plated, hard rubber grips. Chambered for the .38-44 Smith & Wesson caliber. These guns were numbered in their own serial number range. Finish on this gun is a nice blend of original nickel and clean metal to give an overall fine appearance, it is difficult to tell where the metal ends and the clean nickel begins. Grips are mint. Action tight as new. Strong bore with some minor abrasions. The trigger guard has been polished and there is a hint of case colors on hammer.
