Serial No. 13202. Manufactured in 1853. It is a standard martially marked U.S. government 3rd model dragoon with 7-1/2" part round barrel, six shot .44 caliber percussion, single action. This gun has the U.S. stamp on left frame, "J.H." on left side of barrel, "H" on right side of frame,"H" on trigger guard, "D" on backstrap. All matching numbers including wedge. All metal surfaces are a grey-brown patina with some minor pitting and freckling. Perfect factory stamps. Frame screws boogered. Rounding at muzzle. No cylinder scene. Very good refinished grips. Action fine. Strong bore with some minor corrosion. A very good representative example of a U.S. martial Civil War pistol.
