Serial No. 2838. Standard Starr Navy features a 6" round barrel, six shot, .36 caliber percussion revolver manufactured from 1858 to 1860. Total made was approximately 3,000. This is the most difficult of all the Starr revolvers to acquire. Metal finish on entire gun is a smooth blue-brown patina. Matching serial number on cylinder. Not martially marked. It appears as if the gun has had an added finished wiped on at one time. Grips refinished with small crack on left panel. Does not index properly. Strong rifling with minor corrosion.
1858 STARR DOUBLE ACTION NAVY REVOLVER.
