Serial No. 173672. Manufactured late in the 1860 series in 1868. It is factory engraved and has the E stamped under all the matching numbers. Even the wedge is matching. The grips are carved Ivory featuring the Eagle and Snake raised (convex) on left panel. The gun does not retain any real amounts of factory finish and now remains in a basic gun metal patina. Nice coverage of engraving still sharp and all factory stamps are fine. Grips are aged but complete and have a great look. Action indexes and locks up perfectly. Bore is sharp and clean. Brass has never been touched. Lovely factory engraved Army in .44 caliber that shows real wild west usage.
